What is a HLP?
The Healthy Living Pharmacy (HLP) is a framework aimed at achieving consistent provision of a broad range of health promotion interventions across all community pharmacies in order to meet local health needs, by improving the health and wellbeing of the local population and helping to reduce health inequalities.
The HLP requirements apply to all pharmacies, including distance selling pharmacies (DSPs), but these are excluded from some requirements and have to encompass not only the local community, but others that it serves.
