Pharmacy staff were able to brush up on their knowledge of oral health – including hygiene, children’s tooth decay, and early signs of cancer – thanks to GM Healthcare Academy.
We joined forces with Greater Manchester dentists for a series of training events to help pharmacy teams deliver a public information campaign raising awareness of tooth decay, mouth cancers and other aspects of oral health.
The events got great feedback from participants with comments including:
- “Very useful to have dentists present to discuss issues with and get ideas”
- “Very interesting and tailored to pharmacy daily practice”
- “Very informative but not overloading with information good visual aids”
Pharmacy teams across Greater Manchester promoted oral health awareness in a campaign during National Smile Month (14th May-14th June).
