THE GMHCA STORY.

The GM Healthcare Academy is hosted by the Community Pharmacy Provider Board (CPPB)

CPPB consists of membership from CPGM and CHL, and works with the GM Primary Care board.

CPPB represents community pharmacy providers in the GM integrated care system 

GM Healthcare Academy is a partnership between the NHS and community pharmacy.

We were initially created as the vehicle for ensuring cohesive, high-quality workforce development for community pharmacies in Greater Manchester.  

Our founder members include:

GM Integrated Care

- previously known as Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP)

Greater Manchester Pharmacy Local Professional Network,

-the formal body providing clinical input into commissioning and operational decisions.

Community Pharmacy Greater Manchester (CPGM)

- Previously known as Bolton LPC and Greater Manchester LPC.

CHL (CPGM Healthcare Limited)

- The GM Provider Company

We are supported by CPPE (the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education), based at the University of Manchester. CPPE is funded by Health Education England and is the leading postgraduate training provider for registered pharmacy professionals.
